We are seeking a Production Manager to work in our facility located in Santa Rosa, California.
This is a salaried position role that manages a team and reports to the Director of Operations
•Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; develops personal growth opportunities and initiates and fosters a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
•Accomplishes production results by communicating job expectations and planning, monitoring and appraising job results
•Handles day-to-day production documentation, ensures its accuracy and timely input into reporting systems
•Executes a production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishes priorities and monitors progress
•Initiate and coordinate inventory and cost control programs
•Act as the primary contact for manufacturing activities and participate in progress planning and review sessions to discuss schedule and cost
•Take a pro-active approach to continuous improvement and implement lean principles
•Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply
•Pro-active on capacity issues, ensuring manpower and equipment are available to meet production needs
•Identify manufacturing issues and provide leadership in developing solutions
•Responsible for ensuring all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations are observed wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company
•Responsible for ensuring work is accomplished in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
Qualifications and Experience:
•Bachelor's degree in business administration 3+ years relevant supervisory experience or Associates Degree and 6+ years relevant supervisory experience.
•Management of people and manufacturing processes to include knowledge of raw materials, production, costing, and quality control.
•Self-starter with strong initiative; able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
•Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
•Proficient computer knowledge of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, SAP, are ERP software.
•Excellent organization and planning skills - able to meet deadlines in a multi-project environment.
•Exceptional attention to detail.
•Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
•Lean manufacturing experience.
•Ability to periodically lift, push and pull 50+ pounds, stand, walk, kneel, bend, and reach.
•Willing to work in a Hot/cold/wet environment with loud machinery, fumes and moving vehicles.
•Excitement for working in a start-up environment with a high level of ambiguity and change
•Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
•Background check will be conducted after conditional offer of employment is extended
